It's not surprising therefore that, increasingly, we're treating our outdoor living areas as extensions of our indoor ones. As a result, the architecture of those areas, be they gardens, courtyards, balconies or decks, is changing. And that got us thinking: Considering its central importance to not only Outdoor Entertaining but to everyday life, why shouldn't the humble barbecue now be as contemporary, functional and stunning as the appliances in our kitchens?

So we applied our expertise towards designing a sophisticated new range of innovative barbecues that would redefine the way Australians look at alfresco dining and that would transform outdoor living areas to reflect the way Australians are enjoying their leisure time today. Then we found someone like-minded and outstandingly credentialed with which to collaborate.

As one of Australia's premier landscape designers, founder of the international award winning Patio Landscape Architecture and Design group, and advocate of the 'Outdoor Room' concept as much as we are, he shares our commitment to taking the sophisticated design and innovation already seen indoors into outdoor spaces. In Jamie's own words:
